Pick a design, upload a photo or logo, and watch the preview build itself. Choose your sizes and quantities, then check out. That is the whole process.

Very few. Each design takes a face or a logo, your choice of colourway, and a name or text in the font you like. Faces are placed for you; logos go on exactly as uploaded.

No. The face is found and clipped out automatically, right in your browser, before anything is sent to us. Your original photo never leaves your device.

A clear, front-facing photo in good light with the whole head in frame works best. Group photos, sunglasses, and photos where the face is very small tend to print soft. If the preview looks blurry, the sock will too.

Yes, up to five faces on one pair, and extra faces are free. Each face is placed and repeated across the sock.

Yes. Add a name or short message in one spot, under each face, or scattered across the sock, in any of eight fonts. The preview shows exactly where it lands.

The preview on the product page is the mockup: it shows your faces, colours and text placed as they will be knitted. What you see there is what we make.

The layout of each design is fixed, but you choose the colourway, the faces or logo, the text and its font, and the sock style and size. If you need something outside that, email Tom.

No. Our socks are made with TruePrint, a direct-to-garment process developed by The Sox Factory. The design goes into the knit rather than sitting on top of it, so it does not crack or peel.

Screens glow and yarn does not, so colours can sit a shade off the preview, and fine detail softens a little in the knit. That is normal for a made-to-order sock. A face placed where the preview showed it, in a colour a shade off, is not a defect.

Wash them before the first wear, cold or warm, and do not iron them. Beyond that, they can handle anything you throw at them.

Every pair is made to order. Allow 5–7 business days from payment to delivery. Outlying areas and the December rush can add a few days. You get a tracking link by email the moment the courier collects.

R65 per order anywhere in South Africa, and free when you order 3 or more pairs.

Our factory is at 486 Nieshout Street, Roodeplaat, Pretoria. If you would rather collect, email Tom before you order and we will arrange it.

Not through the website yet. For an order going outside South Africa, email Tom with the destination and we will quote the courier cost.

Until it enters production, yes: email Tom with your order number as soon as you can. Once knitting has started it cannot be changed or cancelled, because the pair is already yours.

Made-to-order socks cannot be returned for a change of mind, and that includes the wrong size, so please check the size guide. If something is wrong with what arrives, a fault, damage in transit, or not what you ordered, tell us within six months and we will reprint or refund.
